1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Occultics ("the Platform"), operated by Occultics Media ("we," "us," or "our"), including the website at occultics.ai, all associated services, AI features, readings, compatibility analyses, and content, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Occultics is an AI-powered identity and compatibility platform that generates personalized insights based on date of birth. The Platform uses a proprietary mathematical system derived from 439,000+ words of original research to calculate codes, compatibility analyses, identity profiles, personal year forecasts, and relationship insights.

The Platform offers free and paid services including but not limited to: identity snapshots, compatibility checks, the "Ask Occultics" AI feature, personal readings, compatibility deep dives, and shareable content.

3. Proprietary System and Intellectual Property

3.1 Ownership

All content, code, algorithms, methodologies, databases, knowledge bases, AI prompts, visual designs, branding, the name "Occultics," and all materials available through the Platform are the exclusive intellectual property of Occultics Media. This includes but is not limited to:

• The 81-code compatibility system and all associated interpretations
• The pyramid code calculation methodology
• The Pythagorean code scoring engine
• All aspect, square, trine, and sextile interpretation databases
• Personal year forecasting systems
• Karmic numerology frameworks
• Career, health, and life cycle mapping systems
• All AI-generated readings, sessions, and analyses
• The "Ask Occultics" AI system and its underlying knowledge
• All website designs, code, and visual assets

3.2 Restrictions

You may NOT, directly or indirectly:

• Copy, reproduce, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Platform's proprietary systems, algorithms, or knowledge base
• Create derivative works based on our methodology, scoring systems, or compatibility frameworks
• Scrape, data-mine, or systematically extract content, readings, or data from the Platform
• Use AI tools, bots, or automated systems to extract, replicate, or reconstruct our knowledge base or system prompts
• Redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit any readings, analyses, or content generated by the Platform
• Build competing products or services using any knowledge, methodology, or data obtained through the Platform
• Attempt to access backend systems, APIs, or databases beyond the intended user interface
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices, watermarks, or attribution

3.3 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Readings and analyses generated for you are licensed for your personal use only. You may share your own code card on social media with attribution to Occultics.

4. User Accounts and Data

4.1 Account Creation

Some features require account creation. You agree to provide accurate information and maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4.2 Data Collection

We collect email addresses, dates of birth, and usage data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you consent to this data collection.

4.3 Data Ownership

You retain ownership of the personal data you provide (date of birth, email). We retain ownership of all analyses, readings, insights, and content generated from your data using our proprietary systems.

5. Payments, Subscriptions and Cancellation

5.1 Pricing

The Platform offers free features and paid services. Paid services currently include one-time readings (such as the Personality Code and the Compatibility Code) and a recurring monthly membership. All prices are shown in US dollars (USD) at checkout before you pay. We may change prices at any time; for active subscribers, any price change takes effect no sooner than 30 days after we notify you, and you may cancel before it applies.

5.2 Recurring Subscriptions (Monthly Membership)

When you purchase a monthly membership, you authorize us and our payment processor (Stripe) to charge your payment method the stated amount (currently $12.99) plus any applicable taxes automatically each month until you cancel. The price and billing frequency are clearly displayed at checkout, and you must affirmatively agree before any charge is made. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly billing period.

5.3 Cancelling a Subscription

You can cancel at any time, with no cancellation fee, by using the billing/manage link in any payment receipt we send you, or by emailing us using the contact details in Section 16. Cancellation stops all future charges; it takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not provide partial refunds for a billing period that has already started.

5.4 No Free Trial

Paid subscriptions begin immediately upon purchase. We do not offer a free trial period unless one is expressly stated at checkout. Free features (such as an identity snapshot or a limited number of free AI questions) may be offered, modified, or removed at our discretion and do not constitute a trial of any paid service.

5.5 One-Time Purchases

One-time readings are delivered digitally and generated on demand. Because the content is produced and made available immediately, one-time purchases are non-refundable once the reading has begun generating. If a technical problem prevents delivery, contact us within 7 days and we will resolve the issue or refund that purchase.

6. AI-Generated Content

6.1 Nature of Content

Readings, analyses, and AI responses are generated by artificial intelligence using our proprietary knowledge base. While based on a rigorous mathematical system, all content is provided for self-awareness, entertainment, and personal development purposes.

6.2 Not Professional Advice

The Platform does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice. Content should not be used as a substitute for professional consultation. Always seek qualified professional advice for important life decisions.

6.3 Accuracy

We strive for accuracy within our mathematical system. However, we do not guarantee that all AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or applicable to your specific circumstances.

7. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Platform for any illegal purpose
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Submit false or misleading information
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or accounts
• Interfere with the Platform's operation or security
• Use the Platform to generate content that is defamatory, obscene, or harmful
• Resell access to the Platform or any generated content

8. API and Third-Party Integration

The Occultics scoring engine and knowledge base may be made available to third parties through API licensing agreements. Any such access requires a separate commercial agreement with Occultics Media. Unauthorized access to or use of our API constitutes a violation of these Terms and may result in legal action.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your license to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution survive termination.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OCCULTICS MEDIA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Platform
• Any content obtained from the Platform
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Platform
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your data

Our total aggregate liability for all claims related to the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Occultics Media, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third party's rights.

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of the jurisdiction where Occultics Media is registered.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email or Platform notification.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Occultics Media regarding the Platform.
